weigh of the world has got ahold of the shutters, pulling on my eyes and I can't see..
have the corners of my mouth gotten steeper?
or could it be that my outlook has grown bleaker...
I've seen my friends rubbing dirt in their wounds after fallin, scraping their own knees..

I exist in such a way
that makes living so complicated
I drew a map to take on a journey of self-discovery
I had planned to once again run away, until I had a reason to stay.
they say that distance makes the heart grow fonder
what was once raw is now pliable
bubblin and boilin in my belly

I woke up in the grass this morning
found a four leaf clover on the ground
well it may not be winter but the sun aint shining
i woke up to the bees buzzin sound
i woke up with an urge to take an open window drive through my hometown
stopped to watch the sunrise from the highway
found a five leaf clover on the ground

there's a palm tree outside of my window peekin over the roof of the house.
never seen the a sky a more perfect blue
spring always makes me think of you
i've seen your beauty fluctuate like the season like a flower blooms fades and dies
I told you i'd be home before the summer
i'd meet you there with open eyes
my heart will flutter like little wings and i'll make music to the frantic beat of the blood pumping inside of me
there's a morning dove outside of my window every now and then
at days break or days end
she sings for our long friends
and i admit that there are days that i do feel trapped
some nights it is overstimulation
other days it is head attacks
and there are flowers on 95, in the median and on the roadside
everything is brand new, kinda wish that you were here to see it too.
